But fate has caught up to him in a warehouse being interrogated by thugs. Forced to bring in anyone he told about that day, we meet George's quirky friends. Deadly boss Jackie wants them dead, but George has news that changes everything. Will these unlikely heroes get out alive, or will they end up Postmarked? Watch the trailer below!
Ron Hunting is a local playwright and theatre artist who wrote "Everything You Hear and Only Half of What You See," a play which got a staged reading in 2014. By this time, Ron was diagnosed with ALS. After seeing the reading, Ron's friends put together the film, with half the proceeds designated to go to ALS research. The film premiered at the Phoenix Film Festival in 2016 and won the Best Screenplay Award at the Filmstock Film Festival, as well. And now, you can watch it! Half of all proceeds go to Barrow Neurological Foundation for ALS research. The rest go to the Huntings. Ron is still with us, defying the odds. Here he is shown on set with his wife, Athena, during the shoot.
With help from the ASU Film School, director Gene Ganssle assembled a local cast and crew, including 25 interns, faculty and alumni to make Postmarked a reality! Many thanks go to Chris LaMont, Janaki Cedanna, the cast, crew, students and sponsors. Above is a photo from the table read just before shooting in 2015.
